ENGLISH

THE SCALLOP SWEATER:

Two strands of Plötulopi Icelandic wool are held together throughout the project. The pattern is worked in the round from the bottom up to the underarms, then worked flat for the front- and back panels.  The shoulders are knit together using the three needle bind off, and then the neckline is picked up and knit in the round. The sleeves are picked up around the armhole and worked in the round. The sweater is very light and is designed to be a relaxed fit. The perfect sweater for Icelandic summer! 

The pattern is beginner friendly, and due to the large needles the sweater works up pretty fast.

Materials needed: 

• 8mm(US11) circular needles, 100 & 50cm cables
• 1x 8mm(US11) double pointed needle (used for the three needle bind off)
• 6mm (US10) circular needles, 50cm cable
• 4x 6mm(US10) double pointed needles (used for sleeves)
• Scissors
• Darning needle
• Stitch marker
• Measuring tape (metric)

Yarn:
XS(S, M, L, XL, XXL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL) 

~300(~320, ~365, ~410, ~430, ~465, ~480, ~505, ~525)gr of Ístex Plötulopi Icelandic wool in the shade Light Ash.  *Please note that if using another type of yarn the scallops on the neckline and sleeves might not look as prominent.

ÍSLENSKA

SKELJAPEYSAN:
Tvem þráðum af plötulopa er haldið saman í gegnum allt verkefnið. Peysan er prjónuð í hring frá botni og upp að handvegi. Þá er peysunni skipt í tvennt og prjónað er framstykki og bakstykki sér, fram og til baka. Axlirnar eru svo lagðar saman rétt á móti réttu og prjónaðar brugðið saman. Næst er hálsmálið tekið upp og prjónað í hring, og ermarnar svo teknar upp umhverfis handveg og prjónaðar í hring. Peysan er mjög létt og er hönnuð til þess að vera í yfirstærð, og hún vinnst mjög hratt vegna stóru prjónanna.

Uppskriftin er skrifuð fyrir byrjendur, eða þá sem kunna eftirfarandi:

• Three needle bind off (að fella af með þremur prjónum)
  
• Slá bandi um prjóninn
• Prjóna 2L saman
• Taka upp lykkjur
• Slip slip knit

Auðvelt kennslumyndband af hvernig á að vinna skeljarnar er innifalið í uppskriftinni.
