THE SCRAPTASTIC BEANIE: 
The scraptastic beanie is a super fast and easy project, perfect for using up all your scrap yarn! A colorful roll hem beanie that spices up any outfit!

Skill Level: Beginner / Advanced beginner or those comfortable with the skills used:
Knitting in the round with 4 double pointed needles
Slipping stitches as if to knit
Passing slipped stitch over

Measurements (cm): 
Size 1 (Size 2)

To fit head circumference  54-56 (56-58)
 *Measured around the widest part of the head.

Measurements of finished hat:
Circumference (approx): 52 (~24 in) 54 (~21.25 in)
Length (approx.): 18.5 (20.5)
*Finished measurements can vary slightly due to mixed fiber content and tension shifts in the scrap yarn.

Recommended ease:
Choose a size approximately 2-4cm smaller than the circumference of your head, for a comfortable fit that stays in place. 
*The beanies in the photos are knit in size 1, pictured on a 56cm head.

Materials needed: 
7mm (US 10.75) 40cm circular needles
4x 7mm (US 10.75) double pointed needles
Scissors
Measuring tape (metric)
Darning needle 
Stitch markers

Yarn:
Size 1 (Size 2)
Approx. 45(55)grams of scrap yarn.
The pattern uses predominantly Aran weight scrap yarn, but finer yarns can be held toghether double or triple to match Aran weight, or worked single-stranded to add a subtle texture variation.
